SAFETY

OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY

We are committed to providing a fun and safe environment for children in our baseball program! Find out how below.

HEALTH AND SAFETY UPDATES

Due to the vast differences from state to state and the high number of vaccinated teammates, we have made some adjustments to our COVID policy.

Little Rookies acknowledges your choice to wear or not wear a mask, but please be courteous of others and their decision.

Little Rookies Health Safety Deck

In response to social distancing measures, we are making adjustments to the Little Rookies experience with our Triple Play Approach. The safety of our athletes, families and coaches is our top priority. For more information on how we are creating a safe and fun environment, please view our health and safety policy: Little Rookies Health + Safety Policy

We wish everyone health and safety during this time!

Due to the President’s extension of the social distancing directive, we will be postponing classes until the government and CDC advise that it is safe to continue. We hope to have classes up and running as soon as possible. Your health is our number one priority and will continue to be moving forward. Please stay safe and enjoy this family time.

We will be launching Little Rookies +, our new at-home streaming service for our classes in the next few weeks to help keep our Little Rookies families active and healthy! It will be free for 30 days as everyone deserves that!

We hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy. Based on the latest recommendations from the CDC and WHO, we are making the following schedule updates for Spring sessions. Everybody who has paid for their Little Rookies sessions, WILL get to participate in the FULL amount of classes as we are rescheduling accordingly.

You will fall into one of the below categories.

If your session is CURRENTLY RUNNING: We are going to push all classes in session to start the weekend of April 11th. This will be a completely NEW 6 week session – AWESOME a free class! Classes will end May 16th. These classes should be on the same day of the week as you registered, and more than likely, the same time. Your Regional Manager will reach out if anything changes.

If your session is supposed to start BEFORE April 11th: We are going to push all classes in session to the weekend of April 11th. Classes will end May 16th. These classes should be on the same day of the week as you registered, and more than likely, the same time. Your facility will reach out if anything changes. Note – we will not run classes on April 12th (Easter Sunday) so Sunday sessions will start the following week.

If your session STARTS AFTER April 11th: You will start classes on time!

We hope to keep this schedule intact but will be in communication if anything were to change. We look forward to getting back on the field with all of our Little Rookies – We know everybody will be ready to get active and for their kids to let some energy out!!

The safety of our athletes, families and coaches is Little Rookies’ top priority. Given the situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus), we are postponing Spring classes until March 28th. We will be in contact to confirm class schedules. Most classes will likely run two weeks longer than their original end date.

Thank you for understanding as we are trying to do our part in helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We are committed to the safety of the children and families in our program. We want to share with you how we are responding to the Coronavirus and what we’re doing to help with outbreak prevention.

We are closely following the news and announcements surrounding COVID-19 (aka Coronavirus). We are in touch with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and share this information with our Little Rookies Coaches.

According to the most recent information from the CDC, for most people, the immediate risk of being exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to be low. While the risk may be low, we are taking action to maximize cleanliness and prevent the spread of germs.

Little Rookies Coaches have been sent hygiene tips, disinfectant wipes, and bottles of soap. Every Coach has been instructed to wash their hands before and after each session, wipe down the equipment AFTER each session, and minimize physical contact beyond what’s required for effective coaching.

We have prepared our company and our coaches. In addition to our preparation, each individual facility has their own protocol for sanitation and good hygiene practices.

Also, we kindly request that you wash your child’s hands before and after class. If you child is sick, please do not bring them to class to prevent the spread of germs.

We will send out communication if anything changes on a state/national level and that affects our program. We will never compromise the safety or quality of class.

Below are some of the steps we’ve taken to create a safe and comfortable environment for our young athletes:

COACH BACKGROUND CHECKS

We background check all Little Rookies Coaches.

COACH TRAINING

We provide online training and guidance for our coaches that improves the safety in our programs.

COACH TO CHILD RATIO

We maintain a 1:6 coach to child ratio to ensure there is adequate supervision of the children.

HITTING STATIONS

  • Our policy is only one child has a bat in their hand at a time (per hitting station)
  • Children wear batting helmets at the hitting station
  • Helmets are placed over the child’s baseball hat for Lice prevention
  • We use nets and soft training balls to avoid children being hit by a hard baseball
  • We setup a perimeter around hitting stations to avoid children running into the child at bat

THROWING STATIONS

We use nets and soft training balls to avoid children being hit by a hard baseball

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT STATIONS

  • We use soft / durable training equipment to avoid injuries
  • Our program has been designed by internationally recognized youth physical development specialist for age appropriate physical development

PARENT PARTICIPATION

Our 2yo program is Parent and Me for additional supervision of our young athletes.
